How University of Hawaii at Manoa calculates GPA
University of Hawaii at Manoa calculates GPA as a credit-weighted average: multiply each course’s grade points by its credits, add them up, and divide by total credits. The detail that matters is the grade scale.
The Hawaii Manoa grade scale — what makes it specific
A+ rule: On the Hawaii Manoa scale, A+ is awarded but capped at 4.0, and the scale runs down to D- at 0.7.
