How Salisbury University calculates GPA
Salisbury University calculates GPA as a credit-weighted average: multiply each course’s grade points by its credits, add them up, and divide by total credits. The detail that matters is the grade scale.
The Salisbury grade scale — what makes it specific
A+ rule: On the Salisbury scale, there is no A+ — A = 4.0 is the top grade, and there are no plus or minus grades at all.
Failing grade: Salisbury University uses "F" for a failing grade (0.0).
Repeated courses & grade replacement
Only the most recent attempt counts: a repeated course is credited once, and the earlier attempt is removed from earned hours and from the GPA while remaining in attempted hours.

Good to know
Salisbury grades undergraduates on a flat A/B/C/D/F scale with no plus or minus grades at all, so every A is worth exactly 4.0.
Every figure here was read from Salisbury’s own registrar or catalog. Where a rule is set by an individual college rather than the institution, the page says so instead of presenting one college’s number as everyone’s.
