Source & verification
UGC Status List of 1222 Autonomous Colleges as on 27.08.2024, entry #545 (autonomy); institute website (Empowered Autonomous status). Institute examination ordinance NOT retrieved.
Annasaheb Dange College of Engineering and Technology, Ashta is an autonomous institute affiliated to Shivaji University, Kolhapur, autonomous from A.Y. 2017-18 (UGC Status List as on 27.08.2024, entry #545; current validity window 2023-24 to 2032-33). Its own website describes it as an "EMPOWERED AUTONOMOUS institute" — a distinct and higher category under the UGC (Conferment of Autonomous Status Upon Colleges) Regulations 2023, carrying wider powers than ordinary autonomy, so its examination regime is set entirely by its own Academic Council. ITS OWN CONVERSION FORMULA HAS NOT BEEN VERIFIED — no examination ordinance, grading table or conversion clause was located. DO NOT ASSUME THE PEER FORMULA. Two other Shivaji University colleges already in this registry, Walchand College of Engineering Sangli and Government College of Engineering Karad, both use (CGPA − 0.75) × 10, but each publishes that under its own regulations and neither has been shown to bind ADCET. Note the wider Maharashtra evidence against regional inference: three Amravati-division colleges split two ways, with PRMITR and PRPCEM on CGPA × 9.5 and Sipna on (CGPA − 0.75) × 10. WHICH RULES APPLY DEPENDS ON YOUR ADMISSION YEAR. Students admitted up to A.Y. 2016-17 sat Shivaji University examinations; students admitted from A.Y. 2017-18 sit ADCET's own autonomous examinations. With the college established in 1999, that is roughly eighteen pre-autonomy intakes and eight autonomous ones, so both cohorts have substantial graduate populations and this record will need a cohort split once the formula is known. TO RESOLVE: obtain ADCET's Academic Regulations or Examination Rules from the institute's examination section, or check the reverse of a grade card — several Maharashtra autonomous colleges print the conversion there rather than in the ordinance.
