Singapore university and
polytechnic GPA calculators

Grade points and honours bands, read from each institution’s own documents — polytechnics below.

Read this first: NUS, NTU, SIT and UAS use the same 5.0 grade points (at SIT, for modules from AY2021); SMU uses a 4-point scale with an A+ worth 4.3 and US-style Latin awards instead of honours classes; SUTD matches NUS below A but gives an A+ 5.30 and does not publish honours bands; SUSS uses a 5-point GPA and publishes its honours bands but not its grade points. None publishes a formula for turning a cumulative GPA into a percentage. A university is covered only once its own rules have been read.

Polytechnics (diplomas)

Singapore’s polytechnics award diplomas, not degrees, and grade on a 4.0 scale that is not comparable with the university scales above. They also differ from one another in the details — for example, whether a failed module stays in the GPA after it is retaken.

Republic Polytechnic (RP)—RP’s public Academic Matters page (updated 4 March 2026) gives the module-grade components and that one modular credit is 15 curriculum hours, but the grade-point table is in its Student Handbook, which needs an RP login.

A university gets a page only once its own handbook or registrar pages have been read in full; an entry without a link has not met that bar yet.
