The constant is a declared convention rather than a derivation from the grade table. || CURRENT REGULATION UNREAD: BR23 is published at the same page but as a scanned image with no text layer; extraction returned nothing. Given this college's divergence, BR23 cannot be assumed to match BR20. DIFFERENT FROM MOST AP AUTONOMOUS COLLEGES: BVCEC uses (CGPA − 0.75) × 10, not the (CGPA − 0.5) × 10 used by SRKR, AEC, GVPCE, RVRJC, CIET and AMR. At CGPA 8.0 that is 72.5% versus 75%. Do not carry a figure across from another college. Applies to: B.Tech (Regular, 160 credits) admitted from AY 2020-21 and B.Tech (Lateral Entry, 121 credits) admitted from AY 2021-22, under BR20. Grade scale: O = 10 (≥90), S = 9 (80–<90), A = 8 (70–<80), B = 7 (60–<70), C = 6 (50–<60), D = 5 (40–<50), F = 0, AB = 0. Note the top grade is O and the second is S — an unusual pairing that distinguishes BVCEC marksheets from colleges using S at the top. Class is awarded on CGPA, not percentage: First Class with Distinction ≥ 7.75 (only WITHOUT any supplementary appearance), First Class ≥ 6.75, Second Class 5.75 to < 6.75, Pass Class 5.00 to < 5.75 — these thresholds are HIGHER than the 7.5/6.5/5.5 used by most AP autonomous colleges. CHECK YOUR REGULATION CODE: BR23 (2023-24 onward) is the current regulation and its conversion clause has NOT been verified; BR18 likewise.
