Source & verification
Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya (Central University, Bilaspur) — B.Tech. Ordinance No. 12 (CBCS), School of Engineering & Technology, Clause 14 'Conversion of CGPA/SGPA in Percentage' states verbatim: 'There is no equivalence between the CGPA/SGPA scale and percentage. However notionally, Percentage of particular semester = (SGPA) × 10; Percentage of B.Tech. Degree = (CGPA) × 10.'
Formula STATED in GGV's own B.Tech ordinance (clause 14): % = CGPA × 10, with a 'notional' hedge — per project rule, a stated multiplier overrides 'notional/approximate' wording (cf. UPES, SRM-Sonepat, IAR). Read in full from the ordinance PDF. Consistent with award-of-class bands (clause 12.1): First Division with Distinction CGPA ≥ 7.50 (75%), First Division ≥ 6.50 (65%), Second Division ≥ 5.00 (50%). 10-point scale (O=10…P=4, F=0). SCOPE: this is the School of Engineering & Technology B.Tech ordinance; GGV's other programmes (M.Sc Ord.78, B.Lib Ord.68, LLM Ord.88) classify by CGPA band and may not all carry an identical stated conversion clause — verify per-programme if extending.
