College of Engineering — formally Karmavir Dadasaheb Kannamwar College of Engineering — is an autonomous institute affiliated to Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University, autonomous from A.Y. 2024-25 (UGC Status List as on 27.08.2024, entry #524 "K.D.K. College of Engineering, Great Nagar Road, Nandanvan, Nagpur-440009"). NOTE THE VALIDITY WINDOW IS FIVE YEARS, 2024-25 to 2028-29, not the ten years granted to most colleges in this list — shorter windows generally indicate a conditional or first-cycle grant, so re-check the status after 2028-29. ITS OWN CONVERSION FORMULA HAS NOT BEEN VERIFIED. The institute publishes a Student Manual containing "Academic Rules & Regulations for B.E./M.Tech/MBA Program", but that document is the PRE-AUTONOMY edition — it states that "Academic programs of the K.D.K.C.E. are governed by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Directorate of Technical Education, Govt. of Maharashtra (DTE), R T M Nagpur University (RTMNU)" and uses B.E. nomenclature throughout. It does not describe an autonomous grading scheme. WHICH RULES APPLY DEPENDS ON YOUR ADMISSION YEAR. Students admitted up to A.Y. 2023-24 sat RTMNU examinations, where the university's own direction (RTMNU Direction No. 33 of 2019) gives Percentage = CGPA × 10. Students admitted from A.Y. 2024-25 sit KDKCE's own autonomous examinations under a scheme not published in any retrievable document. Do not assume CGPA × 10 carries over: among RTMNU colleges that became autonomous and published a formula, both PCE Nagpur and GHRCEM Nagpur switched to (CGPA − 0.75) × 10 citing AICTE.
