North-Eastern Hill University's Ordinance OC-7 (Master's programmes, 2022 amendment) states the conversion as Equivalent Percentage = CGPA × 10 (CGPA 8.0 → 80%) on its ten-point grading scale, where the letter-grade percentage bands map exactly (O = 9–10 → 90–100%, A = 8–9 → 80–90%, B = 7–8, C = 6–7, D = 5–6, E = 4–5 → 40–50%, F below 4 → below 40%; minimum pass grade point 4.0 = 40%). CONFIRMED by a second primary source read in full — NEHU Regulations RC-21/RC-29/RC-20A — which repeats 'Equivalent Percentage = CGPA x 10' in both the MBA and MSc sections and explicitly states the reverse (Equivalent Grade Points = Percentage ÷ 10) and the '10-point grading scale' (pass = 4.0 GP / 40%). This lays to rest an earlier (erroneous) secondary description that NEHU used a 5.5-point scale — the ordinances confirm a standard 10-point scale. Note: OC-7 also defines a separate SEVEN-point scale for the one-year Master's programme built on a four-year Bachelor's-with-Research, with its own per-band interpolation; the flat ×10 conversion here applies to the standard ten-point scale (two-year Master's), which is the usual case.
