Source & verification

PCCoE — Rules and Regulations for Academics, Examinations and Evaluation, Undergraduate (B.Tech) Programmes V2.3, w.e.f. A.Y. 2024-25, sections 10.1 and 11(ii)(f)

Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering, Nigdi is an autonomous institute affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University, autonomous from A.Y. 2020-21 (UGC Status List of 1222 Autonomous Colleges as on 27.08.2024, entry #509; valid to 2029-30). It does NOT publish a CGPA-to-percentage formula. Two reasons, both from its own ordinance. First, section 10.1 states "Relative grading is implemented from A.Y. 2022-23" — Table 10.1 gives grade points with no marks ranges (O 10, A+ 9, A 8, B+ 7, B 6, C 5, P 4, F 0), because under relative grading a grade reflects position within the cohort and no fixed percentage equivalent exists. Second, section 11(ii)(f) states that the "conversion of CGPA to equivalent percentage shall be provided on the back page of the grade card" — so a conversion does exist, but it is issued only to the student and appears nowhere in the 38-page ordinance. CHECK THE REVERSE OF YOUR GRADE CARD. Class bands (Table 10.3): CGPA 7.75 or above First Class with Distinction; 6.75 to below 7.75 First Class; 6.25 to below 6.75 Higher Second Class; 5.50 to below 6.25 Second Class; 4.00 to below 5.50 Pass Class. Assessment is Formative 40 plus Summative 60 for most theory courses; a B.Tech needs 160 credits (120 for lateral entry) and CGPA at least 4.00. Students admitted up to A.Y. 2019-20 sat SPPU examinations and fall under SPPU Circular 332/2020 instead. Students admitted A.Y. 2020-21 or 2021-22 sat autonomous examinations before relative grading began and are not covered by the current ordinance. Not to be confused with PCCOE&R, Ravet — a different PCET college.

Frequently asked questions

Does PCET's Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering (PCCoE), Nigdi, Pune publish a CGPA to percentage formula?
No. No conversion formula has been located in PCET's Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering (PCCoE), Nigdi, Pune's own published regulations, ordinances or examination documents, so no percentage is calculated on this page.
How do I get an official percentage from PCET's Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering (PCCoE), Nigdi, Pune?
Ask PCET's Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering (PCCoE), Nigdi, Pune's examination office or Controller of Examinations for a CGPA-to-percentage conversion certificate. That certificate, not an estimate, is what an employer or university will accept.
Why does this page show no calculator?
Because a number would have to be invented to fill it. Where an institution states no conversion, this site says so rather than applying another institution's rule and presenting the result as if it were official.
