Converting Anand Agricultural University (AAU), Anand percentage back to CGPA
Anand Agricultural University (AAU), Anand (Gujarat) officially converts CGPA to percentage with % = OGPA × 10 (derived — grade point = marks on a 10-point scale; UG and PG). This page inverts that formula so you can estimate the CGPA behind a known percentage. Enter your percentage above and the calculator solves for the CGPA on the 10-point scale.
Worked example
The official Anand Agricultural University (AAU), Anand formula is % = OGPA × 10 (derived — grade point = marks on a 10-point scale; UG and PG). Starting from a percentage of 72.5%, the formula reverses to a CGPA of about 7.25 on the 10-point scale. You can check this by running 7.25 through the forward Anand Agricultural University (AAU), Anand CGPA to percentage calculator — it returns 72.5%, confirming the two directions agree.
Why this is an estimate, not an official figure
A college issues your percentage from your actual CGPA, not the other way around — so reversing the formula recovers the CGPA that would produce that percentage. When both numbers appear on your grade card, always quote the official CGPA rather than this estimate.
Source & verification
Anand Agricultural University — 'Revised Common Academic Regulations (2021-22) for Post Graduate Programmes in the State Agricultural University of Gujarat' (Academic Council item 56.29, 16-09-2021), definitions (p. 3): '`Grade Point (GP)' means marks obtained in a particular course converted into 10 point scale up-to next single decimal place'; cl. 36.1: 'A student securing less than 6.0 grade point (60 percent marks) … shall be considered as fail'; cl. on admission merit: 'the marks of OGPA (percentage marks) of the last degree'. UG: 'Common Academic Regulations for Undergraduate Degrees in the State Agricultural Universities of Gujarat', definition 14: '`Grade Point (GP)' means marks obtained in a particular course converted into 10-point scale up to next three decimal places.'
DERIVED (exact): the grade point is continuous, i.e. the course marks scaled to 10, so the credit-weighted OGPA × 10 is the credit-weighted percentage. The PG regulation itself pairs '6.0 grade point' with '60 percent marks' and treats 'OGPA (percentage marks)' as the same thing for merit. There is no separate conversion sentence. SCOPE: UG (common Gujarat SAU UG regulations; scanned, read by OCR) and PG/Ph.D. (2021-22 regulations). KEY NOTE: the registry key 'aau' is Assam Agricultural University, so this entry uses 'aauanand'. Do not confuse the two.
