Formula explicitly STATED in Anna University's own ACOE document (top-tier source: official conversion letter, read in full): 'Percentage of Marks = CGPA X 10' (CGPA 8.0 → 80%). The letter's stated scope is Regulations R-2015, R-2018 and R-2019 (all UG and PG programmes); R-2021 batches use the same flat ×10, per the R-2021 grade-sheet conversion clause. Consistent with the award-of-class bands: First Class with Distinction at CGPA ≥ 8.50, First Class ≥ 6.50, Second Class below. Although Anna University's R-2021 uses relative (Box-Cox) grading for larger theory cohorts at the course level, the CGPA-to-percentage step itself is a flat ×10. The widely circulated (CGPA − 0.5) × 10 and (CGPA − 0.75) × 10 figures for 'Anna University' are content-farm contamination — and must not be used.
