Earlier CBCS batches: Gauhati University Academic Notification 25 (21-05-2018) — percentage = CGPA × 10 for all subjects, batches passing out from 2008 onwards.
UGC conferred autonomy for 10 years, 2024-25 to 2033-34 (UGC list of autonomous colleges as on 28-02-2026; UGC Commission meeting 25-06-2024). Since 2024-25 the college runs its own FYUGP/PG end-term exams and publishes results via Samarth (e.g. notice BBC/Exam/01/2025 of 02-04-2025), but no college regulation stating a CGPA-to-percentage rule could be found. The 2025-26 prospectus still says external examinations are conducted by Gauhati University and the college stays affiliated to GU, so degrees are GU degrees; the GU rule (CGPA × 10) is the best documented rule but is verified only for university-examined batches.
