Converting The Bhawanipur Education Society College (BESC), Kolkata percentage back to CGPA
The Bhawanipur Education Society College (BESC), Kolkata (West Bengal) officially converts CGPA to percentage with % = CGPA × 10. Worked example
The official The Bhawanipur Education Society College (BESC), Kolkata formula is % = CGPA × 10. Starting from a percentage of 80%, the formula reverses to a CGPA of about 8 on the 10-point scale. You can check this by running 8 through the forward The Bhawanipur Education Society College (BESC), Kolkata CGPA to percentage calculator — it returns 80%, confirming the two directions agree.
Why this is an estimate, not an official figure
A college issues your percentage from your actual CGPA, not the other way around — so reversing the formula recovers the CGPA that would produce that percentage. When both numbers appear on your grade card, always quote the official CGPA rather than this estimate.
