Central University of Rajasthan (CURAJ)
percentage to CGPA

Central University of Rajasthan (CURAJ) — % → CGPA

Forward formula: % = CGPA × 9.5 (if CGPA > 7); % = CGPA × 9 (if CGPA ≤ 7)Source: Central University of Rajasthan — Office of the Controller of Examinations Notification No. CURAJ/COE/S.No.1682/F.3 (25 July 2017): 'The formula for conversion from CGPA to percentage is approved as under: If CGPA > 7 then CGPA × 9.5 = percentage of marks. If CGPA ≤ 7 then CGPA × 9 = percentage of marks'Status: verifiedLast verified: 2026-06-23 · The Central University of Rajasthan uses a two-part (piecewise) conversion approved by its Academic Council: if CGPA is greater than 7, percentage = CGPA × 9.5; if CGPA is 7 or below, percentage = CGPA × 9. So a CGPA of 8.0 gives 76% (8.0 × 9.5), while a CGPA of 6.0 gives 54% (6.0 × 9). Note that the two rules create a small jump at CGPA 7 (CGPA 7.0 → 63%, but just above 7 the ×9.5 rule applies). CURAJ adopted the ten-point scale from the July 2015 batch onwards, with grade points O = 10 (90–100%), A+ = 9 (80–89%), A = 8 (70–79%), B+ = 7 (55–69%), B = 6 (50–54%), C = 5 (40–49%), P = 4 (35–39%, minimum pass), F = 0.
This reverses the official CGPA→% formula. A percentage on a transcript is the authoritative figure; the back-calculated CGPA is an estimate. Always confirm with your university.

Converting Central University of Rajasthan (CURAJ) percentage back to CGPA

Central University of Rajasthan (CURAJ) (Rajasthan) officially converts CGPA to percentage with % = CGPA × 9.5 (if CGPA > 7); % = CGPA × 9 (if CGPA ≤ 7). This page inverts that formula so you can estimate the CGPA behind a known percentage — useful when a scholarship form, job portal or foreign application asks for CGPA but your marksheet only shows a percentage. Enter your percentage above and the calculator solves for the CGPA on the 10-point scale.

Worked example

The official Central University of Rajasthan (CURAJ) formula is % = CGPA × 9.5 (if CGPA > 7); % = CGPA × 9 (if CGPA ≤ 7). To go the other way, you rearrange it to solve for CGPA. Starting from a percentage of 76%, the formula reverses to a CGPA of about 8 on the 10-point scale. You can check this by running 8 through the forward Central University of Rajasthan (CURAJ) CGPA to percentage calculator — it returns 76%, confirming the two directions agree.

Why this is an estimate, not an official figure

A university issues your percentage from your actual CGPA, not the other way around — so reversing the formula recovers the CGPA that would produce that percentage. It matches in almost every case, but rounding on your transcript (for example a percentage printed to one decimal place) can shift the back-calculated CGPA slightly. When both numbers appear on your grade card, always quote the official CGPA rather than this estimate.
