Dr. Rajendra Gode Institute of Technology and Research (DRGITR), Amravati — % → CGPA

No published conversion for Dr. Rajendra Gode Institute of Technology and Research (DRGITR), Amravati

A calculator was removed from this page rather than left showing a result it could not produce. Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University Direction 2010 sets class bands (CGPA 6.00 and above is First Class) but publishes no percentage conversion.

What to do instead: ask the college's examination section for a CGPA-to-percentage conversion certificate. Most Maharashtra colleges issue one on request, and an employer or university will accept that where they will not accept an estimate.

This reverses the official CGPA→% formula. A percentage on a transcript is the authoritative figure; the back-calculated CGPA is an estimate. Always confirm with your college.

Converting Dr. Rajendra Gode Institute of Technology and Research (DRGITR), Amravati percentage back to CGPA

No CGPA to percentage formula for Dr. Rajendra Gode Institute of Technology and Research (DRGITR), Amravati (Maharashtra) has been found in an official source, so there is no rule to reverse and this page does not estimate a CGPA. What has been checked is set out below.

Why this is an estimate, not an official figure

A college issues your percentage from your actual CGPA, not the other way around — so reversing the formula recovers the CGPA that would produce that percentage. When both numbers appear on your grade card, always quote the official CGPA rather than this estimate.

Source & verification

Affiliated to Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University (SGBAU). SGBAU conversion NOT resolved — see note.

Dr. Rajendra Gode Institute of Technology and Research is AFFILIATED to Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University and is NOT autonomous — it does not appear in the UGC Status List of 1222 Autonomous Colleges as on 27.08.2024, every source describes it as an unaided private college affiliated to SGBAU, and programmes are styled B.E./B.Tech and M.E./M.Tech. Because it does not set its own examination rules, SGBAU's conversion governs the whole college with no autonomy split. SGBAU'S CONVERSION IS UNRESOLVED — THREE DIFFERENT FIGURES ARE IN CIRCULATION and none of the sources citing them quotes a primary document: CGPA × 9.5 (claimed as "the university's official grading ordinance"), CGPA × 10, and (CGPA − 0.75) × 10 (claimed as "officially followed for CBCS pattern students"). At a CGPA of 7.5 these give 71.25%, 75% and 67.5% respectively — a spread of 7.5 points, enough to cross a First Class or placement cutoff. NO FIGURE IS PUBLISHED HERE UNTIL A PRIMARY SOURCE IS READ. This is the same situation SPPU presented before its Circular 332/2020 was verified, and it blocks every SGBAU-affiliated college identically — one document resolves them all. EVIDENCE FROM AN SGBAU DIRECTION (B.P.Ed. Direction No. 20/2015, Faculty of Education — NOT engineering, so it does not settle this record, but it shows how SGBAU builds its grading regime). Three findings. (1) THE PERCENTAGE IS PRINTED, NOT CONVERTED: “Overall weighted percentage of marks (OWPM) and cumulative grade point average (CGPA) after completing the programme will appear only on the grade card for the fourth semester.” SGBAU puts BOTH the overall percentage and the CGPA on the final grade card — so for these students no conversion formula is needed or used, which would explain why none is published. (2) RELATIVE GRADING IS MANDATED: “the universities shall use Relative Grading Method. Absolute Grading methods shall be overlooked.” Under relative grading a CGPA has no fixed percentage equivalent at all. (3) THE GRADE MAPPING IS A RANGE, NOT A POINT: grade O spans 85% and above with grade points 8.5 to 10.0; A+ is 70-84.99% with 7.0-8.49; A is 60-69.99% with 6.0-6.99; B+ 55-59.99%; B 50-54.99%; C 40-49.99%; F below 40. Because each grade covers a band of grade points, the mapping cannot be inverted to a single percentage — which is a structural reason no simple multiplier can be correct. CHECK YOUR FINAL-SEMESTER GRADE CARD FIRST — the percentage may already be on it. STILL TO CONFIRM FOR ENGINEERING: the equivalent Direction for the Faculty of Science and Technology (B.E./B.Tech CBCS). TWO PROMISING LEADS. First, the SGBAU Gazette (sgbau.ac.in/pdf/downloadpdf.ashx) contains the CBCS grading directions and states that the grade card displays "marks, credits, grade points, letter grade, SGPA, CGPA, percentage of total marks, class/division" — if the percentage of total marks is printed directly on the grade card, then for many students NO conversion is needed at all and the marksheet already answers the question. Second, students report that an official conversion is obtained by writing to the Assistant Registrar (Examinations), SGBAU, which is consistent with a certificate-issued rather than formula-published regime. FOR NOW: check whether your SGBAU grade card already prints a percentage, and if you need it on letterhead, apply to the SGBAU examination section. Note also that the diploma programmes here run under MSBTE, not SGBAU.
