No. GBU-010/Acad/09/2017-47 dated 12 April 2018: 'The Competent Authority is pleased to approve the 'Division on the basis of percentage' and amended 'Formula for Conversion of CGPA into Percentage Marks' under clause 5.7 (iii) of the Ordinances. Regarding conversion of CGPA into percentage marks, the following formula will be adopted for notional conversion of CGPA into percentage marks. Formula : % Marks = CGPA x10.' Division: 75% and above First Division with Distinction; 60% to below 75% First; 50% to below 60% Second; 40% to below 50% Pass; below 40% Fail. 'The above is applicable to all the batches/programmes admitted in different Academic sessions of the University.'
EXPLICIT official rule. It amends cl. 5.7(iii) of the Ordinances and applies to all batches and programmes.
