LPU follows a ten-point Grade Based System (letter grades → grade points → TGPA per term → CGPA cumulatively). LPU's own rule states that for converting an LPU CGPA into a percentage, the multiplying factor of 10 is used: % = CGPA × 10 (CGPA 8.0 → 80%). IMPORTANT — do not confuse this with LPU's incoming-applicant eligibility fallback: when an applicant comes from another university on a 10-point scale that has defined no conversion factor of its own, LPU applies a factor of 9 (and 22.5 for a 4-point scale) purely to screen that external GPA for admission eligibility. That ×9 is a fallback for other institutions' GPAs, not LPU's own conversion. For an LPU student's CGPA, use ×10.
