MGU's Revised CSS Regulations (effective 2016 admissions, applicable to conventional/new-generation PG, integrated PG, and doctoral programmes) state in §11: Equivalent Percentage = (CGPA obtained) × 100 ÷ Maximum CGPA, where Maximum CGPA = 10 — i.e. % = CGPA × 10 (CGPA 8.0 → 80%). This formula is printed on the grade card so students can convert grades to mark-percentages. The grade bands are O = 10, A+ = 9 to <10, A = 8 to <9, B+ = 7 to <8, B = 6 to <7, C = 5 to <6, P = 4 to <5, F < 4. IMPORTANT divergence by scheme: MGU's older Post Graduate Integrated Programmes regulations use a 7-point scale (maximum CGPA 5) with a different conversion — Percentage = CGPA × 20 (e.g. CGPA 4.2 → 84%). Use ×10 for the 10-point CSS programmes (the common case) and ×20 only for the 7-point integrated-programme scale (max CGPA 5).
