Division (Ordinance 10A): CGPA ≥ 7.5 First Division with Distinction, ≥ 6 First Division, ≥ 5 Second Division; minimum CGPA 4.0 with P in every subject required for the degree. DISAMBIGUATION: Punjabi University (state university in Patiala, est. 1962) is distinct from Panjab University Chandigarh, from IKGPTU/PTU (the state technical university at Kapurthala), and from Thapar Institute (also in Patiala but a separate deemed university which uses 10 × CGPA as well).
