Converting Swami Vivekananda Memorial (S.V.M.) Autonomous College, Jagatsinghpur percentage back to CGPA
No CGPA to percentage conversion from Swami Vivekananda Memorial (S.V.M.) Autonomous College, Jagatsinghpur (Odisha) itself has been confirmed. This page reverses the estimate % ≈ (CGPA − 0.50) × 10, so the CGPA it shows is doubly approximate; quote the CGPA on your transcript.
Worked example
The estimate used here is % ≈ (CGPA − 0.50) × 10. Starting from a percentage of 75%, the formula reverses to a CGPA of about 8 on the 10-point scale. You can check this by running 8 through the forward Swami Vivekananda Memorial (S.V.M.) Autonomous College, Jagatsinghpur CGPA to percentage calculator — it returns 75%, confirming the two directions agree.
Why this is an estimate, not an official figure
A college issues your percentage from your actual CGPA, not the other way around — so reversing the formula recovers the CGPA that would produce that percentage. When both numbers appear on your grade card, always quote the official CGPA rather than this estimate.
Source & verification
No conversion is published. Autonomous per its own masthead and Examination Cell, but its ‘Examination Rules’ page reproduces only the CHSE Orissa +2 Examination Act and Regulations 1982 with no CGPA clause; the UG syllabi and Programme/Course Outcomes PDFs contain no conversion formula, and the Information Brochure is a scanned image with no extractable text. The figure shown here is the pattern used by comparable institutions, not a rule this institution has stated — treat it as an estimate and confirm against your official grade card or with the examination office before using it in an application.
