How Arkansas State University calculates GPA
Arkansas State University calculates GPA as a credit-weighted average: multiply each course’s grade points by its credits, add them up, and divide by total credits. The detail that matters is the grade scale.
The Arkansas State grade scale — what makes it specific
A+ rule: On the Arkansas State scale, there is no A+ — A = 4.0 is the top grade, and there are no plus or minus grades at all.
Failing grade: Arkansas State University uses "F" for a failing grade (0.0).
Repeated courses & grade replacement
A repeat of a D/F grade replaces it in the GPA (last grade counts) for up to 18 semester hours; beyond that, or for repeats of C-or-better grades, both attempts count.

Good to know
Every figure here was read from Arkansas State’s own registrar or catalog. Where a rule is set by an individual college rather than the institution, the page says so instead of presenting one college’s number as everyone’s.
