How Baylor University calculates GPA
Baylor University calculates GPA as a credit-weighted average: multiply each course’s grade points by its credits, add them up, and divide by total credits. The detail that matters is the grade scale.
The Baylor grade scale — what makes it specific
A+ rule: On the Baylor scale, there is no A+ — A = 4.0 is the top grade, and the scale runs down to D- at 0.67.
Failing grade: Baylor University uses "F" for a failing grade (0.0).
Repeated courses & grade replacement
All Baylor grades normally count in GPA even after a repeat. Students may apply 'Academic Grade Forgiveness' to exclude the original grade for up to three courses total (original grade C- or below); each course may be attempted up to three times.

Dean’s List
Baylor University names students to its Dean’s List at a term GPA of 3.70 with at least 12 graded semester hours.
Academic probation and dismissal
Academic Notice / Academic Suspension / Academic Dismissal: term and/or cumulative GPA below 2.0 triggers Academic Notice.
Dismissal: term GPA below 2.0 again while on Academic Notice triggers Academic Suspension; a reinstated student who fails to reach a 2.0 term GPA faces Academic Dismissal.

Good to know
Baylor's Dean's Academic Honor List requires a 3.70 semester GPA, notably higher than the 3.5 common at many peer institutions.
Every figure here was read from Baylor’s own registrar or catalog. Where a rule is set by an individual college rather than the institution, the page says so instead of presenting one college’s number as everyone’s.
