How Ferris State University calculates GPA
Ferris State University calculates GPA as a credit-weighted average: multiply each course’s grade points by its credits, add them up, and divide by total credits. The detail that matters is the grade scale.
The Ferris State grade scale — what makes it specific
A+ rule: On the Ferris State scale, there is no A+ — A = 4.0 is the top grade, and the scale runs down to D- at 0.7.
Failing grade: Ferris State University uses "F" for a failing grade (0.0).
Repeated courses & grade replacement
Replacement: the grade from the most recent (up to 3rd) attempt is the only one used in the cumulative GPA; credit is awarded only once.

Good to know
The probation/dismissal policy is only reachable as a PDF (Chrome's built-in viewer is not interactive here), but WebFetch could still extract its text since it doesn't route through the PDF viewer.
Every figure here was read from Ferris State’s own registrar or catalog. Where a rule is set by an individual college rather than the institution, the page says so instead of presenting one college’s number as everyone’s.
