How Kutztown University of Pennsylvania calculates GPA
Kutztown University of Pennsylvania calculates GPA as a credit-weighted average: multiply each course’s grade points by its credits, add them up, and divide by total credits. The detail that matters is the grade scale.
The Kutztown grade scale — what makes it specific
A+ rule: On the Kutztown scale, there is no A+ — A = 4.0 is the top grade, and there are no plus or minus grades at all.
Failing grade: Kutztown University of Pennsylvania uses "F" for a failing grade (0.0).
Repeated courses & grade replacement
A course may be repeated up to three attempts; only the most recent grade counts toward the GPA and the credits are counted once.

Good to know
Kutztown's plus/minus system is one-sided: there is no A+, no C-, no D+ and no D-, so a C is worth 2.00 and the next grade down is a flat D at 1.00.
Every figure here was read from Kutztown’s own registrar or catalog. Where a rule is set by an individual college rather than the institution, the page says so instead of presenting one college’s number as everyone’s.
