How Missouri University of Science and Technology calculates GPA
Missouri University of Science and Technology calculates GPA as a credit-weighted average: multiply each course’s grade points by its credits, add them up, and divide by total credits. The detail that matters is the grade scale.
The Missouri S&T grade scale — what makes it specific
A+ rule: On the Missouri S&T scale, there is no A+ — A = 4.0 is the top grade, and there are no plus or minus grades at all.
Failing grade: Missouri University of Science and Technology uses "F" for a failing grade (0.0).
Repeated courses & grade replacement
Undergraduates may repeat only courses in which they earned a D or F. The last grade is used for degree requirements, and the earlier grade may be dropped from the GPA calculation, with no more than 15 semester hours dropped in total.

Dean’s List
Missouri University of Science and Technology names students to its Dean’s List at a term GPA of 3.200 with 12 or more credit hours with all passing grades.
Called the semester honor roll; S&T does not use the term Dean's List
Academic probation and dismissal
Academic notice: current semester GPA below 2.000.
Dismissal: dismissal after a second consecutive or third cumulative fall/spring semester below 2.000 while on notice.

Good to know
S&T awards no plus or minus grades at all — every letter is a whole grade point — and despite being STEM-focused it sets Latin honors by fixed GPA (3.200 / 3.500 / 3.800), not by class percentile.
