The NJIT grade scale — what makes it specific
A+ rule: On the NJIT scale, there is no A+ — A = 4.0 is the top grade, and there are no plus or minus grades at all.
Failing grade: New Jersey Institute of Technology uses "F" for a failing grade (0.0).
Repeated courses & grade replacement
A course may be attempted at most four times (including withdrawals); when repeated at NJIT, the lowest grade is excluded from the cumulative GPA.

Dean’s List
New Jersey Institute of Technology names students to its Dean’s List at a term GPA of 3.00 with 12 or more degree credits in the semester.
Academic probation and dismissal
Academic probation: TERM GPA lower than 2.0.
Dismissal: TERM GPA or CUM GPA lower than 2.0 while already on probation (leads to academic suspension).

NJIT's undergraduate scale has no A-, C-, D+/D-, or A+ at all — only A, B+, B, C+, C, D, F on 0.5-point steps, which is unusual and changes how borderline grades convert to GPA.
