How University of Northern Colorado calculates GPA
University of Northern Colorado calculates GPA as a credit-weighted average: multiply each course’s grade points by its credits, add them up, and divide by total credits. The detail that matters is the grade scale.
The Northern Colorado grade scale — what makes it specific
A+ rule: On the Northern Colorado scale, there is no A+ — A = 4.0 is the top grade, and the scale runs down to D- at 0.667.
Failing grade: University of Northern Colorado uses "F" for a failing grade (0.0).
Repeated courses & grade replacement
Under grade replacement only the most recent letter grade counts toward the cumulative GPA, even if it is lower than the grade replaced. Grade replacement may be applied once per course for a maximum of six courses (courses repeated Fall 2013 or later).

Good to know
UNC's plus grades are rounded up (B+ = 3.334, C+ = 2.334) while its minus grades use .667, and the Dean's List is judged over 24 credit hours across two of three terms rather than a single term.
Every figure here was read from Northern Colorado’s own registrar or catalog. Where a rule is set by an individual college rather than the institution, the page says so instead of presenting one college’s number as everyone’s.
