The Quinnipiac grade scale — what makes it specific
A+ rule: On the Quinnipiac scale, there is no A+ — A = 4.0 is the top grade, and there are no plus or minus grades at all.
Failing grade: Quinnipiac University uses "F" for a failing grade (0.0).
Repeated courses & grade replacement
Only the most recent grade counts in the cumulative GPA; the superseded attempt is annotated R.
Academic standing
Academic warning when the semester GPA is below 2.25 while the cumulative GPA is 2.00 or higher; new students below 2.25 but at or above 1.20 are warned in their first semester.

Dean’s List
Quinnipiac University names students to its Dean’s List at a term GPA of 3.50 with at least 12 credits in a semester full-time; at least 6 credits part-time.
University-wide, per semester; also requires no grade lower than C.
Academic probation and dismissal
Academic warning / academic probation: Academic warning when the semester GPA is below 2.25 while the cumulative GPA is 2.00 or higher; new students below 2.25 but at or above 1.20 are warned in their first semester..
Dismissal: Any student who has a GPA below 1.20 after two semesters is dismissed..
