How Southeastern Louisiana University calculates GPA
Southeastern Louisiana University calculates GPA as a credit-weighted average: multiply each course’s grade points by its credits, add them up, and divide by total credits. The detail that matters is the grade scale.
The Southeastern Louisiana grade scale — what makes it specific
A+ rule: On the Southeastern Louisiana scale, there is no A+ — A = 4.0 is the top grade, and there are no plus or minus grades at all.
Failing grade: Southeastern Louisiana University uses "F" for a failing grade (0.0).
Repeated courses & grade replacement
Both the original and repeated grades count in the Cumulative GPA (both are averaged in), though the best grade stands as the official grade of record for the Primary Program of Study GPA.

Good to know
Southeastern's Grade Forgiveness policy lets students exclude up to 9 credit hours of D/F grades from GPA calculations, but excluded courses still count toward Honors-at-Graduation.
Every figure here was read from Southeastern Louisiana’s own registrar or catalog. Where a rule is set by an individual college rather than the institution, the page says so instead of presenting one college’s number as everyone’s.
