How Southern Connecticut State University calculates GPA
Southern Connecticut State University calculates GPA as a credit-weighted average: multiply each course’s grade points by its credits, add them up, and divide by total credits. The detail that matters is the grade scale.
The Southern Connecticut State grade scale — what makes it specific
A+ rule: On the Southern Connecticut State scale, A+ is awarded but capped at 4.0, and the scale runs down to D- at 0.7.
Failing grade: Southern Connecticut State University uses "F" for a failing grade (0.0).
Repeated courses & grade replacement
Under the Grade Replacement policy only the higher of the two grades is used in the GPA; both grades stay on the transcript. Limited to five courses total, each course replaceable only once.

Good to know
Grade replacement is capped at five courses for a student's entire undergraduate career, and each course may be replaced only once.
Every figure here was read from Southern Connecticut State’s own registrar or catalog. Where a rule is set by an individual college rather than the institution, the page says so instead of presenting one college’s number as everyone’s.
