How Tennessee Technological University calculates GPA

The Tennessee Tech grade scale — what makes it specific
A+ rule: On the Tennessee Tech scale, there is no A+ — A = 4.0 is the top grade, and there are no plus or minus grades at all.
Failing grade: Tennessee Technological University uses "F" for a failing grade (0.0).

Academic probation and dismissal
Academic warning / probation / suspension: 1.50 cumulative (0-29.09 hrs); 1.75 (29.10-50.09 hrs); 2.00 (50.10+ hrs).
Dismissal: Suspension for a minimum of one semester if, while on probation, the student again fails to meet both the cumulative and semester minimum QPA for their hours tier.
The minimum cumulative GPA depends on how far through the degree a student is:
