The UT Dallas grade scale — what makes it specific
A+ rule: On the UT Dallas scale, A+ is awarded and capped at 4.0, so it does not lift a GPA above 4.0, and there is a D- at 0.67.
Failing grade: The University of Texas at Dallas uses "F" for a failing grade (0.0).
Repeated courses & grade replacement
First repeat replaces the original grade in GPA; a second repeat of the same course causes both repeats to be included.

Dean’s List

UT Dallas sets Latin honors and Dean's List by percentile rank recalculated per school each term (e.g. top 10%; honors cutoffs like 3.973 vary by school/semester) rather than fixed university-wide GPA cutoffs used by sibling UT System campuses.
Sibling campuses in the same system are not a guide here. Every figure on this page was read from UT Dallas’s own registrar or catalog, because the campuses of this system genuinely differ — in the grading scale, in what counts when a course is repeated, and in where the honors cut-offs sit.
