The UT Tyler grade scale — what makes it specific
A+ rule: On the UT Tyler scale, there is no A+ — A = 4.0 is the top grade, and there is no D- — D is the lowest passing grade.
Failing grade: The University of Texas at Tyler uses "F" for a failing grade (0.0).
Repeated courses & grade replacement
Grade replacement is opt-in: students choose 'For Grade Replacement' (only last grade counts, up to 3 undergrad repeats) or 'Not For Grade Replacement' (both grades count) at enrollment.

Academic probation and dismissal
Academic probation: cumulative GPA less than 2.0.
Dismissal: academic suspension if term GPA below 2.0 while on probation; dismissal after a third suspension.
