How University of Tennessee at Chattanooga calculates GPA
University of Tennessee at Chattanooga calculates GPA as a credit-weighted average: multiply each course’s grade points by its credits, add them up, and divide by total credits. The detail that matters is the grade scale.
The UT Chattanooga grade scale — what makes it specific
A+ rule: On the UT Chattanooga scale, there is no A+ — A = 4.0 is the top grade, and there are no plus or minus grades at all.
Failing grade: University of Tennessee at Chattanooga uses "F" for a failing grade (0.0).
Repeated courses & grade replacement
A student's GPA is computed using only the highest grade earned across all repeats of an eligible course (replacement, not averaging).

Good to know
UTC's own registrar 'Calculating Your GPA' page (the one that previously defeated a fetch) has no scale table at all; the full A-F values only appear in the Acalog catalog's worked example.
Every figure here was read from UT Chattanooga’s own registrar or catalog. Where a rule is set by an individual college rather than the institution, the page says so instead of presenting one college’s number as everyone’s.
