How Philippines grades convert to US GPA
Philippine universities use an inverted scale where 1.00 is best and 3.00 is the pass; 5.00 is fail. Some schools use percentages alongside.

Is this competitive for US admission?
Because the scale is inverted, a 1.5 is a strong result, not a weak one. US programmes familiar with the system read it correctly; a 1.75 or better is competitive for most. Confirm each programme.
