How the Philippines grading scale works

Formula
GWA = sum(numeric grade x units) / sum(units) on the inverted scale. To get a US GPA, convert each grade with the band table (do NOT average the raw 1.0–5.0 numbers).
Worked example
A grade of 1.5 maps to A- -> 3.7 on the US 4.0 scale. Note the inversion: a lower number is a better grade.
