Conceicao Rodrigues Institute of Technology is permanently affiliated to the University of Mumbai and has recently become autonomous; a student review from this cycle says "Now this year college has become autonomous." It does NOT appear in the UGC Status List of 1222 Autonomous Colleges as on 27.08.2024, so the grant is at or after August 2024. The first autonomous intake is A.Y. 2024-25 at the earliest, graduating A.Y. 2027-28. COHORT 1 — PRE-AUTONOMOUS (all students admitted up to A.Y. 2023-24): sat University of Mumbai examinations. UoM uses a PIECEWISE formula under Board of Examinations Circular (Resolution 27-08-2015): Percentage = 7.1 × CGPI + 12 when CGPI is below 7.0, and Percentage = 7.4 × CGPI + 12 when CGPI is 7.0 or above. Note UoM calls the index CGPI, not CGPA. At CGPI 6.0: 7.1 × 6 + 12 = 54.6%; at CGPI 7.0: 7.4 × 7 + 12 = 63.8%; at CGPI 8.0: 7.4 × 8 + 12 = 71.2%; at CGPI 8.5: 7.4 × 8.5 + 12 = 74.9% (which rounds to 75% in practice). COHORT 2 — AUTONOMOUS (students admitted from A.Y. 2024-25 onward): sit FCRIT's own examinations under a scheme not yet published in any retrievable document. DO NOT APPLY VJTI'S FORMULA HERE: VJTI is a different Mumbai autonomous college that uses (CGPA − 0.75) × 10 under its own Manual of Rules — that is VJTI's own regulation and does not govern FCRIT. Agnel Polytechnic Vashi and from Conceicao Rodrigues College of Engineering (CRCE) at Bandra, Mumbai — the latter is sometimes called "Agnel Bandra" and is a separate college under the same Agnel Charities umbrella, at a different campus, also University of Mumbai affiliated.
