Source & verification

MAKAUT (Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology, West Bengal) official circular 'How to Calculate Percentage from Your Grade Point' — publishes the DGPA-to-percentage conversion table directly: GPA 6.25→55%, 6.75→60%, 7.25→65%, 7.75→70%, 8.25→75%, confirming % = (GPA − 0.75) × 10 across every row. University-wide formula, applies to all MAKAUT-affiliated colleges including KGEC.

KGEC's own site (kgec.edu.in/about) states 'we also thrive to become an autonomous institution very soon' — treated here as NOT currently autonomous (one third-party source claims autonomy since 2014, but the college's own language is more authoritative and contradicts it). As a standard MAKAUT affiliate, the university-wide circular applies with no institutional override expected.
