Converting Central University of Kashmir (CUK), Ganderbal percentage back to CGPA
Central University of Kashmir (CUK), Ganderbal (Jammu and Kashmir) officially converts CGPA to percentage with % = CGPA × 10 (derived from the University's rule grade point = marks × 0.10 — PG / Master's programmes). This page inverts that formula so you can estimate the CGPA behind a known percentage. Enter your percentage above and the calculator solves for the CGPA on the 10-point scale.
Worked example
The official Central University of Kashmir (CUK), Ganderbal formula is % = CGPA × 10 (derived from the University's rule grade point = marks × 0.10 — PG / Master's programmes). Starting from a percentage of 75%, the formula reverses to a CGPA of about 7.5 on the 10-point scale. You can check this by running 7.5 through the forward Central University of Kashmir (CUK), Ganderbal CGPA to percentage calculator — it returns 75%, confirming the two directions agree.
Why this is an estimate, not an official figure
A college issues your percentage from your actual CGPA, not the other way around — so reversing the formula recovers the CGPA that would produce that percentage. When both numbers appear on your grade card, always quote the official CGPA rather than this estimate.

Central University of Kashmir — Ordinances (last updated 06-03-2020), Ordinance 5 (Master's Degree Programme), cl. 13.13: 'Marks | Grade Point | Letter Grade | Class — 90-100 | 9-10 | O | Outstanding; 80-<90 | 8-<9 | A+ | Excellent; 70-<80 | 7-<8 | A | Very Good; 60-<70 | 6-<7 | B+ | Good; 50-<60 | 5-<6 | B | Average; 0-<50 | 0 | F | Fail. The multiplication factor of 0.10 shall be applied in calculating the exact Grade point.'
DERIVED (exact): Ordinance 5 defines a CONTINUOUS grade point — 'The multiplication factor of 0.10 shall be applied in calculating the exact Grade point' — so 72% = 7.2 and the credit-weighted CGPA × 10 equals the credit-weighted percentage exactly. There is no separate conversion sentence. Scale (cl. 13.13): 90–100 = 9–10 O; 80–<90 = 8–<9 A+; 70–<80 = 7–<8 A; 60–<70 = 6–<7 B+; 50–<60 = 5–<6 B; <50 F 0. The pass mark is 50% per course and in aggregate. Marks-sheets are also issued (cl. 15.1). SCOPE: Master's degree programmes under the Ordinances as updated to 06-03-2020. The newer FYUGP/NEP undergraduate rules were not found on the site and are NOT covered. Research-degree coursework (Ordinance 6) uses a different 6-point scale (factor 0.06).
