Converting University of Jammu — UG (FYUGP / NEP 2020, 2022-23 onwards) percentage back to CGPA
University of Jammu — UG (FYUGP / NEP 2020, 2022-23 onwards) (Jammu and Kashmir) officially converts CGPA to percentage with % = CGPA × 10 (FYUGP / NEP UG, 2022-23 onwards; reconfirmed in 2026 revised statutes). This page inverts that formula so you can estimate the CGPA behind a known percentage. Enter your percentage above and the calculator solves for the CGPA on the 10-point scale.
Worked example
The official University of Jammu — UG (FYUGP / NEP 2020, 2022-23 onwards) formula is % = CGPA × 10 (FYUGP / NEP UG, 2022-23 onwards; reconfirmed in 2026 revised statutes). Starting from a percentage of 67.3%, the formula reverses to a CGPA of about 6.73 on the 10-point scale. You can check this by running 6.73 through the forward University of Jammu — UG (FYUGP / NEP 2020, 2022-23 onwards) CGPA to percentage calculator — it returns 67.3%, confirming the two directions agree.
Why this is an estimate, not an official figure
A college issues your percentage from your actual CGPA, not the other way around — so reversing the formula recovers the CGPA that would produce that percentage. When both numbers appear on your grade card, always quote the official CGPA rather than this estimate.

University of Jammu — Revised Statutes Governing Four Year Under Graduate Programme (FYUGP) as per NEP 2020, Session 2026 onwards (Notification No. F.Acd/I/26/14081-182 dated 03-03-2026, Dean Academic Affairs), Statute 40 'Computation of SGPA and CGPA', item ii (p. 28): 'CGPA = Σ(Ci × Si) / ΣCi … Percentage of Marks = CGPA X 10', with the official worked example CGPA = 6.73 ((21×6.9 + 22×7.8 + 25×5.6 + 26×6.0 + 26×6.3 + 25×8.0)/145). Scope (Statute 3): the University of Jammu, colleges affiliated to it and its offsite campuses. The same clause stood in the earlier FYUGP statutes (21-11-2023, Statute 40 item iii) applicable from 2022-23.
PROGRAMME-SPECIFIC — University of Jammu has different official factors by scheme: (1) UG under FYUGP/NEP from 2022-23 (university, offsite campuses and affiliated colleges): CGPA × 10 — THIS ENTRY. (2) PG CBCS programmes: CGPA × 9 ('A CGPA of 6.75 shall be considered equivalent to 60% marks') — see key 'jammuuniversitypg'. (3) B.E. under CBS in affiliated engineering colleges (2018-19): CGPA × 9.5 (BE statutes). FYUGP grade table: 90–100 O 10; 80–<90 A+ 9; 70–<80 A 8; 60–<70 B+ 7; 55–<60 B 6; 50–<55 C 5; 36–<50 D 4; < 36 F 0. The 2026 revised FYUGP statutes (notification 03-03-2026; adopted 'from the Academic Session 2026-27 onwards' per the notification, while Statute 3 says 'implemented from the Academic Session 2025-26') retain the same ×10 rule and the same grade table; pass mark 36% per paper (40% for internship/project). NOTE: registry college entries (Dogra Degree College etc.) use CGPA × 9 — correct for PG CBCS, but UG students admitted from 2022-23 fall under this ×10 statute.
