Converting Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Bhopal (IISER Bhopal) percentage back to CGPA
Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Bhopal (IISER Bhopal) (Madhya Pradesh) officially converts CGPA to percentage with % = CPI × 10 (notional). This page inverts that formula so you can estimate the CGPA behind a known percentage. Enter your percentage above and the calculator solves for the CGPA on the 10-point scale.
Worked example
The official Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Bhopal (IISER Bhopal) formula is % = CPI × 10 (notional). Starting from a percentage of 85%, the formula reverses to a CGPA of about 8.5 on the 10-point scale. You can check this by running 8.5 through the forward Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Bhopal (IISER Bhopal) CGPA to percentage calculator — it returns 85%, confirming the two directions agree.
Why this is an estimate, not an official figure
A college issues your percentage from your actual CGPA, not the other way around — so reversing the formula recovers the CGPA that would produce that percentage. When both numbers appear on your grade card, always quote the official CGPA rather than this estimate.

IISER Bhopal — official CPI-to-Percentage Conversion Certificate (Office of Academic Affairs) and grading system documentation
IISER Bhopal follows a grade-based credit system and states that no equivalence of CPI to percentage is provided; however, notionally the CPI may be multiplied by a factor of 10 to obtain the numerical percentage (CPI 8.5 → 85%). It reports a Cumulative Performance Index (CPI) on a 10-point scale (maximum 10.00) with letter grades, and the Institute does not declare percentage or award any division — the same notional ×10 stance as IISER Mohali, IISc and the IITs.
