IMPORTANT STRUCTURAL FINDING, distinct from GCECT's divergence. JISCE is UGC-autonomous since 2011 — the FIRST private engineering college in West Bengal to receive this status. Its own hosted 'Course Regulation & Curriculum Book' (Autonomous R18 regulation) states explicitly at R2.10.6: 'There shall be no class/division awarded to a student either at semester or degree level,' and at R2.10.7: 'The College shall declare the CGPA of a student on the final semester grade sheet/card.' This means JISCE's own institutional rules only certify CGPA — they do not describe an official percentage-conversion formula the college itself issues. This is DIFFERENT from GCECT (which set an explicit alternate formula) and different from 'no evidence either way' colleges — here the college's own document suggests percentage conversion, if needed (e.g. for external employers or further study), is handled via a separately-requested conversion certificate rather than a standing institutional rule. The MAKAUT-wide (CGPA−0.75)×10 figure is the best available fallback, but this should be flagged to any JISCE student as needing direct confirmation from the Examination Cell, not assumed.
