Read in full, R19 defines SGPA, CGPA, the grading table and the four classes — and stops. R19 uses O/S/A/B/C/D/F where O = 10, S = 9, A = 8. R20 uses A+/A/B/C/D/E/F where A+ = 10, A = 9, B = 8. AN 'A' IS 8 POINTS UNDER R19 AND 9 UNDER R20 — do not read one grade card against the other's table. || THE PASS FLOOR ROSE FROM 4.75 TO 5.00 between R19 and R20, and Distinction under both R19 and R20 requires no supplementary appearance in any subject regardless of final CGPA. || AUTONOMOUS COLLEGES SET THEIR OWN CONSTANT AND ROUGHLY A QUARTER DIFFER FROM THE UNIVERSITY. This entry applies to students at non-autonomous affiliated colleges, and to students at autonomous colleges admitted BEFORE that college received autonomy. Avanthi Institute of Engineering and Technology at Tamaram is JNTU-GV affiliated and autonomous and uses −0.75 under its own R24 — while its sister campus at Cherukupally uses −0.5.
