JNTUK's B.Tech academic regulations state the conversion as Equivalent Percentage = (CGPA − 0.75) × 10 (CGPA 8.5 → 77.5%). This same formula appears verbatim in both the R19 (2019-20 onwards) and R16 (2016-17 onwards) regulations. It is fully consistent with JNTUK's Award of Class bands: First Class with Distinction at CGPA ≥ 7.75 (= 70%), First Class at ≥ 6.75 (= 60%), Second Class 5.75–<6.75 (≥ 50%), and Pass Class 4.75–<5.75 (≥ 40%). The grading is absolute-marks based (O ≥ 90 = 10 grade points, S 80–90 = 9, A 70–80 = 8, B 60–70 = 7, C 50–60 = 6, D 40–50 = 5, F < 40 = 0). This −0.75 offset is the same family used by VTU and MAKAUT.
