Initially affiliated to Kalyani University with 120 students in 3 disciplines, later shifted to WBUT/MAKAUT. Moved to its own campus at Banjetia (formally opened 4 August 2001), ~4 km from Berhampore, Murshidabad district. Supported by the Government of West Bengal and Murshidabad Zilla Parishad.
