Converting Navsari Agricultural University (NAU), Navsari percentage back to CGPA
Navsari Agricultural University (NAU), Navsari (Gujarat) officially converts CGPA to percentage with % = OGPA × 10 (derived — grade point = per cent mark ÷ 10; PG programmes). This page inverts that formula so you can estimate the CGPA behind a known percentage. Enter your percentage above and the calculator solves for the CGPA on the 10-point scale.
Worked example
The official Navsari Agricultural University (NAU), Navsari formula is % = OGPA × 10 (derived — grade point = per cent mark ÷ 10; PG programmes). Starting from a percentage of 76%, the formula reverses to a CGPA of about 7.6 on the 10-point scale. You can check this by running 7.6 through the forward Navsari Agricultural University (NAU), Navsari CGPA to percentage calculator — it returns 76%, confirming the two directions agree.
Why this is an estimate, not an official figure
A college issues your percentage from your actual CGPA, not the other way around — so reversing the formula recovers the CGPA that would produce that percentage. When both numbers appear on your grade card, always quote the official CGPA rather than this estimate.
Source & verification
Navsari Agricultural University — 'Common Academic Regulations for Post Graduate Studies' 2022-23 (Academic Council notification; regulations PDF on nau.in), definitions: "'Grade Point (GP)' of a course is a measure of performance. It is obtained by dividing the per cent mark secured by a student in a particular course by 10, expressed and rounded off to second decimal place." Repeated in the revised draft approved w.e.f. 2024-25 (52nd Academic Council, item 52.28; Notification No. NAU/DR/T.3/3507-512/2024, 01-07-2024), definitions p. 2. The 2021-22 PG rules defined GP as 'marks obtained in a particular course converted into 10 point scale'.
DERIVED (exact): the course grade point is the course percentage ÷ 10, so the credit-weighted OGPA × 10 is the credit-weighted percentage. There is no separate conversion sentence. SCOPE: PG (Master's and Ph.D.) only. NAU's own copy of the UG regulations was not found on nau.in, so UG is not covered here (the Gujarat SAU common UG regulations, verified from JAU's and AAU's copies, use the same rule). The 2024-25 notification is a scan read as a page image.
