Two-part rule: above CGPA 4 subtract 0.5 then ×10; at or below CGPA 4 just ×10. The two parts overlap between 35% and 40% (CGPA 4.0 → 40%, CGPA 4.1 → 36%), so a percentage in that band cannot be reversed uniquely; the reverse below uses CGPA = %/10 + 0.5 above 40%.
