Converting Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University (PRSU), Raipur percentage back to CGPA

Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University (PRSU), Raipur (Chhattisgarh) officially converts CGPA to percentage with % = CGPA × 10 (NEP FYUP UG — Ordinance 210, cl. 12; earlier Ordinance 197, cl. 11). This page inverts that formula so you can estimate the CGPA behind a known percentage. Enter your percentage above and the calculator solves for the CGPA on the 10-point scale.

Worked example

The official Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University (PRSU), Raipur formula is % = CGPA × 10 (NEP FYUP UG — Ordinance 210, cl. 12; earlier Ordinance 197, cl. 11). Starting from a percentage of 74.8%, the formula reverses to a CGPA of about 7.48 on the 10-point scale. You can check this by running 7.48 through the forward Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University (PRSU), Raipur CGPA to percentage calculator — it returns 74.8%, confirming the two directions agree.

Why this is an estimate, not an official figure

A college issues your percentage from your actual CGPA, not the other way around — so reversing the formula recovers the CGPA that would produce that percentage. When both numbers appear on your grade card, always quote the official CGPA rather than this estimate.

Source & verification

Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University — Ordinance No. 210, 'Four Year Undergraduate Programme (FYUP) (With Choice Based Credit System and Multiple Entry and Exit Options as per NEP 2020)' (Executive Council 27-05-2024; Govt of Chhattisgarh approval letter 3-29/2024/38-2 dated 26-06-2024), cl. 12 'Conversion to Percentage' (p. 10): 'The conversion formula for converting the CGPA to the corresponding percentage (P) of marks will be as follows: P = 10 x CGPA.' The earlier Ordinance No. 197 (FYUP, 2023; Govt letter 3-17/2022/38-2 dated 27-12-2022), cl. 11 (p. 7), has the identical sentence.

Grades are absolute bands (>90–100 = O 10; >80–90 = A+ 9; >70–80 = A 8; >60–70 = B+ 7; >50–60 = B 6; >40–50 = C 5; 40 = P 4; <40 = F), so CGPA × 10 is the ordinance's stated equivalence, not an exact marks average. Divisions: First with Distinction CGPA ≥ 7.50; First ≥ 6.00 and < 7.50; Second ≥ 4.50 and < 6.00; Third ≥ 4.00 and < 4.50; a pass needs CGPA ≥ 4.0. SCOPE: NEP 2020 four-year UG programmes (B.A., B.Sc., B.Com., B.Sc. Home Science, BCA, BBA etc.) in the teaching departments and affiliated colleges. Pre-NEP annual and semester courses are marks-based, so use the percentage on those marksheets. PG conversion was not read. The same clause appears in the FYUP ordinances of other Chhattisgarh state universities (ABVV, Durg, KTUJM), which follow a common state template. Both ordinances are scanned and were read by OCR. REGISTRY: the PRSU-affiliated autonomous-college entries 'govtnagarjunapgcollegeofscience', 'govtdbgirlspgcollege' and 'govtjyoganandamchhattisgarhcollege' cite Ordinance 197, whose cl. 11 now confirms their ×10 explicitly.
