DERIVED (exact): the grade point is defined as the course percentage ÷ 10 — UG cl. 1-3-8: 'ग्रेड प्वाइंट (जीपी) … किसी विशेष पाठ्यक्रम में प्राप्त किए गए अंकों के प्रतिशत को 10 से विभाजित करके ज्ञात किया जाता है' (Grade Point … is found by dividing the percentage of marks obtained in a course by 10). OGPA (cl. 1-3-12) is the credit-weighted average of those grade points, so OGPA × 10 = the credit-weighted percentage. There is no separate conversion sentence. The PG Academic Regulations 2016 (cl. 1-3-9, 4-2-4) define GP the same way. Classification (UG cl. 4-13): OGPA ≥ 8.50 First Class with Distinction (no re-examination/probation, minimum duration); 7.50–8.49 First Class; 6.00–7.49 Second Class.
