Two-part (piecewise) formula: below CGPA 9.0, % = 10 × CGPA − 5 (so 8.0 → 75%, 6.0 → 55%); from 9.0 upward, % = 15 × CGPA − 50 (9.0 → 85%, 9.5 → 92.5%, 10 → 100%). The two parts meet at 9.0 = 85%, so the curve is continuous. The ordinance literally writes '10 × GPA – 5.0' in the second line — read as SGPA/CGPA as the sentence heading says. The OA cover page has unfilled approval blanks ('Amended and approved in the ….. Meeting of …'), but the PG and Diploma regulations (approved by Senate 2019/2020) cross-refer to OA clause 7 for equivalent percentage, and the 2019 version carries the same formula, so it is the operative rule. Applies to Diploma students as well as degree students.
